Inspiring & Motivational

I love FITNESS.While I am not one of the perfectly proportioned size 6 models they almost always use I AM a more fit and healthy person because of the motivation I have gotten from this magazine.I have gone from a size 14 to a 10 with the help of excercise and nutritional tips I'v gotten from this magazine.I love to read the inspiring success stories of others who have reached theyre fitness goals.
I finally realized that if I put in the effort I too could be strong and healthy even if I am not tiny like a super model.
FITNESS has excercise routines that you can do at home that don't require lots of expensive equipment or a gym membership.I like the make up and fitness clothing articles too.
Overall FITNESS is a magazine for those that need motivation and information on how to get and stay healthy and have fun while getting there.

For Those Who Are Health Conscience Or Who Want To Be!!!

Folks, honestly I don't have a subscription to the magazine, but, I have read a number of copies, and it's clear that this magazine is made for those who are either in shape, or who want to be. I have a neighbor who gets these every month, and folks, they have helped her take off POUNDS!!! Lots of great health conscience recipes, tips on beauty(if you think about it, beauty is a part of being fit since most people who work out also want to be more attractive), and great exercise routines can be found in this magazine, In fact, that's what the magazine mostly consists of, exercises. It's not one of those publications where you find yourself looking at articles not even remotely related to the main topic of the magazine. So if you are someone who wants to tone your body, lose some pounds or learn other ways to make your life more healthier(did I spell that right?), it's hard to beat Fitness!!!

try something else

I read this magazine and was not that thrilled. It gets two stars because it has good exercise tips but that is about it. This magazine is for you if you like to starve yourself, diet to excess, and want to try all the miracle weight loss solutions out there. It has advertisements that contradict it. On one page there is an article condemning diet pills. Throughout the magazine there are ads for diet pills. One article talked about diet friendly cookies. Ironically, I have heard warnings about such cookies from my doctor and numerous nutrionists about these cookies, saying that Americans are still getting fat on diet foods like these, and the reason was that they still had sugar in them, which had been substituted for the fat. So people eat those diet cookies and eat whole boxes of them, and gain weight anyway. Yet this magazine failed to present the facts about Diet cookies. Other articles talk about fads: why potatoes are bad one month and the next, why caffeine is bad. And then the next month I read articles about how caffeine is good for you because it reduces cramps from exercise. The magazine is full of gimmick diets. How to loose weight now followed by how come you should not loose weight so quickly. How to temporarily loose weight. How to measure your body mass index. The funny thing is, I took absolutely none of the advice in this magazine. I actually let myself eat real food. I exercised. And to date I have lost 25 pounds and I am within the weight I should be according to the BMI scales in this magazine. This magazine is as bad as a fashion magazine. It has waif thin models throughout, it is as though this magazine is saying, starve yourself, feed yourself false foods, and exercise till you drop. And then you will look like our waif like models! And get your dream job and dream guy! Basically, this magazine feeds on the ideas that society already puts out. Get something else to read.
