Subscriber Reviews
Jane magazine is the best!!
hmm..Jane magazine..where to start...first, let me just say that i have a subscription to practically every magazine focused towards women under the age of thirty...and i have found that Jane magazine is by far highly superior to the others. No other magazine compares to the level of greatness that Jane has achieved. The actual content is wonderful! The articles are at times thought provoking and meaningul..but all the rest is helpful and often hilarious! Jane is the one magazine that makes me feel compelled to stop what im doing and read it the moment i receive it in the mail. If you are even considering subscribing to Jane, you definately should. It is filled w/articles, reviews, some celebrity talk, awasome advice and hilarious editorials that will become something that you look forward to every month. Also, keep a look out for the prank and the week long challenge (not sure what they're called) articles, they are soo funny. Have fun reading!
My Favorite Magazine
Coming from a woman in her mid-twenties, I love this magazine. It is my ultimate favorite one. It has fashion, but isn't cheesy like Cosmo. No articles on "How to Please your Man" nor does it make you feel as if you should have a man, as many other magazines geared towards women do. I once lent my Jane to a friend and she ended up subscribing to it herself. It's a bit more liberal than the more mainstream ones, which is another reason why I love it.
Like reading Playboy for the articles
This is NOT your typical girly magazine. I mean that, however, in the best way possible. It gets to the reader on (some) pretense of fashion, celebrities, and makeup but is really, really a smart read. If you're the quintessential girly girl, it might catch you with its gossip and fashion photo spreads, you'll end up loving it for its "mind", though. No one's too fat in here, no makeup "must-have's", no gimmicks to getting him to love you. Nope, just stuff a little bit deeper in here.
The articles are definitely the best part of this magazine. I've seen everything covered here from politics to perfume testing. It's like no girly magazine you've ever seen before. They do have the usual gossip and trends but put forth in a much more thought-provoking way any smart girl will end up, if not loving, at least liking enough.
They also have the celebrity issue every year where celebrities come together to "produce" most of the magazine. It's quite refreshing to see what these people can come up with, usually with very funny results.
I gotta admit I'm not a subscriber but I do pick it up from time to time. It's a fun, smart detour from the usual Cosmo. Buy it for the fluff, love it for its mind.
