Subscriber Reviews
My views of FHM
I was persuaded into subscribing to this magazine after reading past issues of FHM at a friend's house. We'd get together with other friends, drink, play video games, read FHM and any other magazines my friend had. FHM contains some interesting celebrity articles that are sometimes fun to read depending on which celebrity is being interviewed, the jokes section are sometimes [boring], yet some are rather funny. Anyway, at times the magazine leads you on. And what I mean by that is, the cover always, well almost always has a pretty looking chick, yet when you actually look into the pages of FHM, you may find yourself dissapointed because sometimes the girls inside the magazine itself are nowhere as beautiful as the covergirl. That's all I have to say about FHM.
FHM = Fairly Humorous Magazine
I can't complain too much since I received a free subscription, but for the money I'd probably take Maxim instead.
I'm giving it two stars because the jokes are funny and every so often they'll throw in a surprise. For instance, they recently published early pictures of NFL's Lisa Guerrero against her wishes and it generated a lot of controversy. Aside from that, you're digging through about 60% advertising, 20% advertising disguised as content, and 10% overpriced fashion to find maybe three articles and a couple of photo shoots.
Just more clever than the rest
I was wary at first of another men's mag, but FHM is just better than the others. The articles are funny and clever. Maxim's seems to just keep printing the same thing over and over again with a different picture. I cancelled Maxim, I'll stick with FHM.
