Don't Bother
Believe me, if you're looking for accurate information on ferrets, this is NOT the magazine for you. I bought a copy last month thinking I would be reading about like-minded people who loved their ferrets as much as I love mine - instead I ended up with 60+ pages of total tripe. These people give ferrets a worse name than Richard Nixon (Millhouse, even). Contrary to what these people would have you believe, ferrets are not stinky nor do they participate in "home destruction" as they call it. So unless you want to go through the rest of your life thinking that ferrets are nothing but frightful, nasty, stinky brutes, I suggest you avoid this dribble like the plague.
Good magazine for beginning ferreter
This is a good magazine for the beginning ferret owner. It discusses many of the basic feeding, training, and health issues associated with owning these fascinating little critters. For the more advanced ferreter, the magazine seems to be less helpful. I was seeking specific information on breeding, particularly dominant and recessive gene traits of different ferret strains and was unsuccessful. However, if you are looking for a magazine with general care and handling tips for a ferret, look no further. Great pictures too. I've also been successful with some of the vendors that advertise in the magazine, particularly in the clothing and habitat realm.
CARPET SHARKS!!
